MANILA, Philippines - American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez once again sang the American national anthem, but this time at the opening of the NBA Finals in Oklahoma City.
Wearing a short dress, the crowd cheered as Sanchez hit the last few notes of the "The Star Spangled Banner".
Last week, the Filipino-Mexican-American singer sang the US anthem in the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley bout in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sanchez had said she also hopes to sing the Philippine national anthem, "Lupang Hinirang" in the near future. This, after many netizens felt bad that the singer sang the American anthem instead of the Philippine anthem.
Sanchez, born and raised in the US and can't speak Filipino, said she will ask her mother to teach her the language.
The singing sensation is also looking forward to the Idol tour. The tour will also take her to her mother's native country on September 21.
