Longanisa vendor now a fashion designer in Milan

MILAN, Italy - A Filipino fashion designer is slowly making a name for himself in the fashion industry in Milan.
Roger "Corn Tailor" Esteron is a native of Balayan in Batangas province.
Last March, Esteron held his second fashion show, featuring simple and elegant designs using affordable fabrics.
"Ako lahat ang nabili ng tela," he said.
Esteron could not believe that he was able to launch his second show in the fashion capital of the world.
A product of a poor family, Esteron came to Italy in 2010 and experienced hardships.
He said he used to sell longanisa and water in a public park to support his family back home.
Noong pumasok po ako sa factory ang sweldo ko po ay 20 euro a day for 9 hours," he said.
Aside from his creations, friends and supporters also admire his dedication and hard work.
