'Idol' finalists say 'It's more fun in the Philippines'

MANILA, Philippines – “American Idol” finalist Deandre Brackensick joined runner-up Jessica Sanchez in saying that “It’s more Fun in the Philippines.”
This ahead of their September 21 concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines.
During their ustream held Monday afternoon, some fans asked Brackensick and Sanchez if they are excited to come to Manila as part of their “Idol” tour.
Both finalists agreed.
“Yes, Filipino fans. We are going to the Philippines, all of us on September 21. In Manila,” said Sanchez.
Brackensick, on the other hand, vowed to try to learn Filipino before September.
“I will work on my Tagalog before September so I have something for you guys,” he said.
After that, a fan mentioned the photo of Sanchez holding the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” sign.
Much to the delight of the Filipino fans, Brackensick reached out for the placard and showed it online.

The magnetic sign was given to Sanchez by a representative of the Department of Tourism during her courtesy call to President Benigno Aquino III at Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles Airport last June 8.
In one of her past interviews, Sanchez said she has never been outside the United States and she is happy that her first out of the country trip would be to her mom’s native country.
“I’ve never been out of the country before. To go to the Philippines for the first time, it must be amazing. I can’t wait,” she said.
This is the second time the “Idol” tour is heading to the Philippines.
Season 10’s Top 11, including Filipino-American Thia Megia, also went here last year for a two-night concert.
