BRISTOL - Four acts joined the line up of finalists for TFCKAT UK after the semi-finals in Bristol, setting the stage for the UK finals in London on June 30.
Over a dozen performers from across the country competed at the last UK semi-finals of ABS-CBN's global talent search, featuring solo singers, vocal groups, and dancers.
Four acts emerged from the Bristol auditions to complete the line-up of UK finalists, namely singers Beverlyn Hobday, Joylen Humphreys and Al Angelo Bernal, as well as five-piece dance group Remix Revolution.
“I’m really excited to get into the finals,” said Humphreys, a full-time wife and mother whose rousing performance of Beyonce’s “Listen” impressed the judges and the crowd.

“I’m looking forward to compete with the rest of the contestants. I’ll be doing more practice from now and I need to look for a song that would connect with people.”
Locals from southwest England came out to support the acts performing at the Kapamilya Fair in Bristol, many of whom were excited about the prospect of having a UK champion from their region.
“We’re all happy as a community. It would be the pride of Bristol if one of our contestants wins in London. We’re excited to be recognized because we have a lot of talent here,” said Julius Licos from the Association of Filipinos in Bristol, which hosted the event.
Shelleny Watson, a Bristol resident, added: “Having this prestigious event and competition to showcase our talent is just fantastic and awesome. It’s a good chance for us to show what we’ve got. Bristol is such a fantastic city and I think it’s a privilege to be in here. And it’s also a privilege that TFC managed to come over here to celebrate with us.”

Winners from the Bristol semi-finals will battle it out with eight other finalists from the heats in Plymouth and Newcastle, including singing sensation Arisxandra Libantino, who came into fame with her brief but controversial stint at Britain’s Got Talent, and interpretive dancer Mac Daniel, whose unique performance captured the hearts of audiences at the Plymouth semi-finals.
The winner of the TFCKAT UK finals will be given a cash prize of £2,000, as well as a chance to be featured at the London Barrio Fiesta, an appearance in Balitang Europe, and backstage passes to meet Kapamilya stars like Angelica Panganiban and Giselle Sanchez.
The UK winner may also get the chance to compete against other TFCKAT winners in Spain and Italy, and ultimately represent Europe in the inter-continental finals in the Philippines.
TFCKAT UK finals will take place at the London Barrio Fiesta in Lampton Park, Hounslow, on June 30.
