Chris Brown wasn't the only star injured at the nightclub confrontation between him and Drake. San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker is suing the nightclub over an eye injury.
According to Sports Illustrated, Parker is suing the W.i.P club in SoHo for $20 million for the scratched cornea he says he suffered during the fight that involved Brown and members of hip-hop star Drake's entourage.
The suit was filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan two weeks ago. It said that the operators of the club were negligent in security and supervision, which allowed the fight to take place.
According to Fox sports, Parker, a member of the French national basketball team, could miss the London Olympics because of his injured eye. He might have to undergo an operation to remove a shard that had "penetrated 99 percent" of his left eye, according to the Fox article.
''I almost lost my eye,'' Parker said in an interview posted on his website.
''I'm seeing a specialist in New York with the hope of being given the all clear to play in the Olympic Games,'' Parker said. ''Spurs are very worried."
''Anything can happen, including me being out of the Olympics. The decision doesn't belong to me anymore. It's in the hands of the doctor and San Antonio.''
Chris Brown, his girlfriend and bodyguard, were among the eight injured during the fight on June 15,. Police say members of Drake's entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving and the fight escalated to the point where bottles were thrown and fists were everywhere. It is not known whether the fight was really over pop star Rihanna.
Police are still investigating.
